School Support

Education and training have a key role to play in helping to set conditions for the families of Citrolandia to overcome their poor living situation.
The School Support program provides additional learning and encourages children studying Math, Portuguese language, Science and Geography. This program involves working with young children registered in the local primary school. It enables them to make the most of their education.
We provide basic school supplies for the children to participate fully in their school activities.
We also plan to purchase additional books to the local library we have opened in 2009. This library is operated by our partner NUBEM. Soup on Saturdays

This initiative aims to improve the health of the local children by giving them the opportunity to receive a balanced meal rich in vitamins, iron etc. that complement their needs on a regular basis.

The soup is organized and prepared by a local nutritionist and volunteers. They make enough soup that can feed 120 children, some of their parents and grandparents.
